It's the height of the cricket season in England and the Daily Mirror plays around with a cricketing term with the headline 'Stumped By A Space Rock.' The story is about cricket fan Jan Marzal (51) who claimed that he was hit by a piece of meteorite whilst watching Middlesex play Sussex in Uxbridge. He said that one piece hit him on the chest whilst another bounced on a boundary wall.
The headline uses the word 'stumped' which can mean challenged or progress frustrated but is also the cricket term for a form of dismissal when the wicket-keeper puts down the wicket when the batsmen is out of his ground.
