You might need a knowledge of cricket to understand the Daily Star's headline of 'Miaowzat - Graeme Swann's Drink Drive Cat Mission.' The story relates to the England cricketer who was arrested for drink-driving whilst on a mercy mission to save his pet cat. Allegedly Swann had made an early hours dash to an all-night supermarket to buy a screwdriver so he could free the cat which had become stuck under a floorboard.
The headline is a play on 'meow', the noise a cat makes, and 'howzat' a cricketing term for when a player appeals to the umpire to see if a batsman is out.
