Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging
Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging is based on Louise Rennison's bestselling novels for young adults. It's a fluffy, frothy teen movie that tells the story of Georgia, a 14-year-old girl at a comprehensive school in Eastbourne (the Angus of the title is a weird cat). Everything in Georgia's life is either a problem — parents, schools, friends — or a disappointment: such as when she goes to a fancy dress party as a stuffed olive only to find her friends have failed to take up the agreed ‘starters’ theme. “I didn’t know how to be a vol-au-vent,” one moans. Basically it's summery fun.
